Specialty physicians at Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) included in ‘Top Docs’ list

NCH physicians have been named to Chicago Magazine’s 2019 Top Doctors List, a compilation of 361 physicians in 62 specialties across the Chicagoland area.
NCH is pleased to announce two specialty physicians who have been named to the Top Docs list:
Heart & Blood: Cardiac Electrophysiology – John R. Onufer, M.D.
Part of the NCH Medical Group, Dr. Onufer is a board-certified cardiovascular electrophysiologist who specializes in atrial fibrillation; catheter ablation; defibrillators; and pacemakers.
Cancer: Gynecologic Oncology – S. Diane Yamada, M.D.
Dr. Yamada, also part of the NCH Medical Group, specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery; ovarian, uterine and cervical cancers.

The Top Docs list is compiled annually by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a healthcare research and information company. Top doctors are chosen based on a survey, research, screening and rigorous selection process under the direction of a medical doctor. Physicians nominate other physicians based on clinical excellence, board certification, education and expertise. Doctors are considered the best in their fields in a six-county metropolitan area.
