Newsweek ranks NCH rehab in Illinois top ten

Congratulations to the NCH’s Boler Center for Rehabilitation team for being ranked one of America’s Best Physical Rehabilitation Centers in Illinois according to Newsweek. There are close to 100 team members on the unit, including advanced practice nurses and physicians.

Newsweek and its research partner, Statista, based the rankings on a variety of factors including quality of care, service and follow-up care, as well as accommodations and amenities. Rankings are based on a rigorous methodology that includes data from a survey of thousands of medical experts, along with quality measures from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

“We remain committed to providing the best rehab experience for our community members, and this has been demonstrated in our quality outcomes,” said NCH Acute Rehabilitation Care Unit Program Director Natalie Geyer. “This fiscal year, 80% of our patients have returned to the community, and they’re leaving our program at a greater functional level when compared to patients from other rehabs across the region and nation. This has placed our unit in the top quartile of more than 800 rehab facilities across the country in the Program Evaluation Model, which measures the effectiveness of a rehab unit’s quality program.”
