For more than 60 years, Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) has been privileged to provide quality, community-focused healthcare to generations of our neighbors, friends and patients. As a continuation of that commitment, we are very excited to share our intention to align NCH with NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) and to establish NCH as a regional, community-focused healthcare hub for NorthShore across the northwest suburbs.
Our goal is to advance what already works so well at NCH. We will maintain our flagship hospital in Arlington Heights and current ambulatory care and physician offices. By working together, our patients will benefit from two outstanding physician networks providing excellent care and services through ever-growing, convenient access points. Decisions about patient care and treatment in our communities will remain local and our commitment to our clinical teams and staff, physician partnerships and mission will go unchanged. We couldn’t be more excited.
NorthShore is one of the leading health systems in the region with a strong and specialized clinical team, academic excellence and innovative research programs. Grounding it all is their community-connected approach that personalizes care and services. It was these shared values, their goal to expand community access to care, coupled with a commitment to strengthening physician relationships, that were critically important in pursuing this opportunity.
Together, we hope to use the resources of an integrated system to provide every patient with a personalized care experience. Delivering quality outcomes through the latest medical advancements is as important as providing compassionate and personalized patient care. The organizations’ shared commitment to community-connected excellence will strengthen services to our diverse population base and ensure communities are healthy and well.
The agreement comes after a significant strategic assessment by the NCH Board of Directors and is expected to be formalized later this year pending regulatory review and approval.
