Prepared Childbirth

These classes teach all aspects of childbirth including the phases of labor and delivery. We recommend taking them during the seventh or eighth month of pregnancy. These classes are taught by a Registered Nurse and Certified Childbirth Educator. The classes include relaxation exercises, breathing techniques, and comfort measures. A detailed description of all phases of labor and birth including medical interventions, anesthesia and options for labor as well as a birth video.

The fee for this program, designed expressly for patients delivery at Northwest Community Hospital is $100.00 per couple. If you are not delivering at Northwest Community Hospital, you may contact Health Connection at 847-618-4968 to inquire about class availability.

Please note in order for a class to run we require a minimum of 4 couples to be registered. If the minimum amount of couples are not registered, a representative will contact you to schedule an alternative date.
