Most young people are thinking of flowers, candy and romance this time of year, but February is also Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
Teen dating violence is any physical, psychological/emotional, or sexual violence that occurs in a dating relationship. It can happen face-to-face, via text messaging, or even online. Learn more about the different types of teen dating violence, and find out what you can do if you think a teen is in an unhealthy relationship.
If you know someone who is not in a safe relationship, call the WINGS 24-hour helpline, 847-221-5680.
