Redefining community hospital

The Community Vision Campaign was launched in 2006 in response to the growing healthcare needs of the northwest suburban community. The campaign supports NCH's vision of redefining community hospital by combining advanced technology and clinical expertise with the accessibility and personalized care offered in a community-based, family-centered environment. The goal of the campaign is to raise a total of $35 million in charitable gifts from 2006 through 2011. As of August 2010, community members have contributed a record-breaking $28 million toward the goal. Thank you!

Key NCH accomplishments supported by the generosity of our donors include a state-of-the-art South Pavilion and Special Care Nursery—both opened May 1, 2010. Campaign contributors have also supported improvements in heart, cancer and stroke treatment; helped adolescents beat addiction at NCH's Youth Center; and made possible many ongoing programs for those in need.

But we're not resting on our laurels! In this last year of the fundraising campaign, there's also a year left on the Hospital's Emergency Department expansion project—and the Foundation is focused on raising funds for a critical component of it: a new ED Imaging Center. Click here to learn more.
