Marti Jones was born and raised in Chicago. A graduate of Columbia College, she pursued her radio career with a start at a jazz station in Toledo, Ohio. Marti got a taste of TV when she worked on a Food Network special called "Scoop," an ice cream contest, where she created a cannoli flavored ice cream.
