What we do

The NCH Foundation exists for these young 4th-of-July revelers—and for all the people of our community. Our goal is to make sure they have access to the very best healthcare close to home—now, and for generations to come.

The NCH Foundation was established in 1981 to serve as the fundraising arm of the hospital – to help us continue to provide you and your community with a wide range of exceptional medical and social services.

Our mission is to inspire charitable donations to help the hospital invest in state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technologies, additional community outreach programs and more in-depth research.

Led by a volunteer Board of Trustees made up of civic and business leaders from throughout the area, we are helping NCH redefine “community hospital.” The Board works with area philanthropists and community leaders as well as NCH physicians, employees and volunteers to keep everyone abreast of accomplishments, funding needs and future plans.

The Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. For more information, please contact the Foundation by e-mail or by phone at 847.618.4260.

Why we need your help

Today, NCH has an even more ambitious plan for the future - a plan that will allow us to provide you with an extraordinary new level of care and convenience. To accomplish this vision, we need your continued generosity and partnership.

As healthcare resources have become increasingly limited, contributions are more important than ever to not only meet these goals, but to preserve the level of care you deserve. Whether your interest is in facilities or programs, education or outreach, technology or research, we are here to encourage giving.

It is also important that we raise funds in a way that is both meaningful to you and in compliance with the highest ethical standards. We want to create a true partnership, to enable you to experience the full impact of your support. To this aim, we work hard to match your interests with NCH’s needs. And, we pledge to be good stewards of your gifts and the trust they represent in Northwest Community Hospital.

How we do it

Our fundraising methods include talking with philanthropic leaders about major initiatives, holding yearly fundraising events, communicating with annual donors and sharing stories about people whose lives have been touched by the Foundation. We also keep donors up-to-date on how to leave a legacy through Planned Gifts such as bequests and charitable gift annuities.
